In part 1 I’m only going to cover evaluating the mechanism to determine how dirty and if any pivots are wore out. If pivots are wore out they will need to be bushed with new slaves but re-bushing is not covered in this video.

In this video I evaluate my grandfather clock’s hammer mechanism to determine if I can correct for very poor sounding chimes caused by wore out leather pads on the gong hammers.
I will also show my clock test stand that lets me fully run, evaluate and service my clock mechanism on the bench.

This is a short summary on the best supplies and steps to clean and restore a pinball machine play field.
I cover just the highlights from what I have learned over a year of doing research combing through on-line documents and videos covering pinball restoration.
I was lucky to have an artist in the family that has the fine skills needed to mix the best matched color and put down the paint and lettering.
Thanks aunt Vida!

Vida is an amazingly skilled porcelain painter and has her own home studio.
Please visit Vida’s website (www.VidasCollectibles.com) and maybe order an item or two for someone special in your life or for yourself.
She kiln fires each item multiple times as she adds layers of paint then signs each piece which are all unique works of art in themselves.
