A one minute teardown answering the question “What is Inside an Electrolytic Capacitor” requested by Ray & Mike from the GRC Pinball YouTube Channel in their latest video “Ray’s Pinball Tech Tips S3E5” Session 3 Episode 5.

The darker aluminum foil is the Anode side (+ side) which has a thick aluminum oxide “~rust” Al2O2 layer that is the acting dielectric material in this capacitor.

My first mailbag video which includes the LONGEST ever pocket digital multimeter review in history. HA

I found the Victor 921 pocket multimeter to be the best pocket DMM I have ever used. It showed quite close to exactly correct readings for all measurements and had capabilities way outside the normal for a $25 pocket multimeter not only in build quality but also in features and functionality.

In this mailbag I also showed a jimmy knife tool by iFixit and some SOIC-8 / TSSOP-8 combo DIP adapter PCBs by Adafruit. Here are the links to all the products in today’s Mail bag.

In this video and blog posting I will be reviewing a new $329 (US dollar) Hantek DSO5202P 200 MHz 2 channel Oscilloscope and measuring its claimed bandwidth. This is a USA sourced product distributed by Circuit Specialists out of Tempe, Arizona. I do non-biased product reviews for Circuit Specialists. They sell lots of different oscilloscopes at lower as well as higher price points based on bandwidth and features. First lets show the video if you want to watch a 1hr 15min review :\ , I know don’t say it I already agree. For those that don’t watch, below is a write up as well as over 120 hi-resolution photos for you to enjoy and get quick details.
