I won a nice 1970’s Grandfathers clock in an estate auction a few weeks back (see video here) and it needs repairs and service. One simple repair was to either replace or repair the door lock so it wouldn’t keep flopping open. I figured this would be a good excuse to try my hobby welding skills on some real small work. In this video I give a bit of background on how the little door latch works and take a couple wacks at welding it up. Below the video are some useful links.
